Meet DC MORBY

DC MORBY

DC MORBY has spent a lifetime building businesses, leading organizations, overcoming adversity, and helping people navigate major life decisions. His experiences in business, education, leadership, and personal growth became the foundation for the V16 Framework. Today, his mission is to make these principles available to anyone seeking a better future.

My Story

Like many people, I began adult life with big dreams and a willingness to work hard. I married an incredible woman, and together we've built a life centered on faith, family, and perseverance. We were blessed with twelve children, and today enjoy the blessing of twenty-seven grandchildren.

Professionally, I earned a Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, later completed an MBA, and spent years leading businesses as an executive, entrepreneur, and CEO. From the outside, life appeared to be unfolding exactly as I had planned.

Then, almost overnight, everything changed.

The events surrounding 9/11 sent my industry into a financial freefall. What followed was a series of business failures and legal challenges that ultimately cost me my career, my reputation, and much of what I had spent a lifetime building.

Losing everything has a way of changing your perspective.

It forced me to ask questions I had never seriously considered before. What truly determines the direction of a person's life? Why do some people rebuild while others give up? What principles remain true when everything familiar has been stripped away?

Those questions became the beginning of a new journey.

Starting over wasn't easy, but it taught me something I had never fully understood before: our greatest assets are not the things we own—they're the principles we choose to live by.

Beginning with very little, I rebuilt my life one decision at a time. I founded a new contracting business that grew into a multi-million-dollar company, serving thousands of homeowners and creating opportunities for others along the way. The comeback didn't happen overnight. It happened through thousands of small decisions, consistent action, and an unwavering belief that your future does not have to be determined by your past.

Everything I teach today has been tested in the real world—not only through success, but through failure, loss, rebuilding, and starting over.

That journey led me to one life-changing discovery.

Our future is shaped less by the circumstances we face than by the choices we make in response to them.

That realization became the foundation for everything I do today.

It inspired Leaving Duckland, a practical way of recognizing the self-defeating habits that quietly hold us back.

It inspired The GO Movement, built on one simple truth: every one of us has a remarkable, God-given superpower—the power to choose. When choice is acted upon, it becomes GO.

And it inspired The V16 Leadership Platform, a framework of sixteen practical principles designed to help individuals, families, organizations, and communities build stronger foundations, make better decisions, and create lives of purpose and meaningful contribution.

Today, my mission is simple:

To help people discover the power they already possess, overcome the habits that hold them back, and build a future defined not by their past, but by the choices they make today.

I don't believe our past has to define our future.

I believe every person has the God-given power to choose.

GO isn't a feeling.

GO is a decision... acted upon.
